Black Opal Beauty Review

Good morning Ladies, Today's post will be a review on "Black Opal Beauty Cosmetics" I know many of you might already know about this amazing company since they have been around for a really long time. Black Opal Beauty is a company who designed a line of makeup specially designed to address the beauty concerns of women of color. To be quite honest ""Black Opal Beauty" was one of the first companies I noticed when first getting involved in the makeup industry to have such a variety of colors for woman of color. I am puerto rican and have a tan/beige tone to my skin so I was very happy because a lot of the other makeup brands didn't really carry too many options in color for a really long time. Black Opal Beauty" has been around since 1997 when they launched at chain drugstores and mass merchandisers throughout the US. You can find "Black Opal Beauty" at your local Duane Reade store or any other drugstore in your area or you can just shop on their website "Click Here" Did you know that "Black Opal Beauty" also carries a men's shaving line? They do..They have an anti-bump treatment, anti-bump cleanser as well as an anti-bump-gel. How great is that? I was so fortunate to have been sent a few things from "Black Opal Beauty" to try out and review for you ladies. With the skin tone I have I would fall in the tan range which will be the lightest color in the whole collection, being that I have normal/oily skin I was really surprised that the cream to powder foundation worked wonders for my T-zone..which always gets a little shiny through out the day but with the cream to powder foundation and just a little bit of the oil absorbing pressed powder I had shine control longer then any other foundation remedy ever used which I love a lot. The Mascara has to be a heaven sent and is now my favorite mascara because the wand is so fine and such a perfect size that it grabs all of my lashes and makes them look so long and glamorous..(Have to love that too lol). The only con I have is the concealer but technically is really isn't con here is why..I love my concealer to be a little lighter then my foundation so it can give me more of an awake look so this concealer I used was too much of a perfect match to my skin tone but the concealer was AMAZING to use on acne scars and dark spots I had on my face, I only applied a little onto the area then blended and added my powder and "Poof" even skin and a flawless finish. I really enjoy this line because it offers so many options to us women who do have color. This post will not be beauty related but more of a vent & whats on my mind post. So many things have happened lately that to be honest with you I have no idea how to approach my next step. I guess I will start here..On June 11th 2012 I attended the Lia Schorr Institute to obtain my certificate and most important more knowledge in makeup, I learned so many wonderful things and after completing my 50 hours I received my certificate and I could not have been prouder of myself. Little by little I have been experiencing the common feelings towards friendships and people in my life. I am on of those woman who can appreciate a good friend, I am also a woman who IS a very good friend to others and to tell you the truth I am just so fed up with all the DRAMA these people have brought into my life..its just plain shadiness and I am now in a point of my life where somethings are slowly falling into place and I have no need for this negativity to be apart of my life any longer. Have you ever just felt like you didn't care anymore? That maybe its about that time to be selfish and think what is going to be best for you? I have been feeling like that lately. The only thing that really makes me smile is when I am filming a makeup tutorial for my Youtube channel. Now I must admit lately I have been slacking in the uploading dept. but due to connection issues and it has nothing to do with love lost. I promised myself that if I want to be where I want to be I have to make more of an effort in making things happen. I want to film and upload more, I want to take my channel more seriously and give it all of my attention. Youtube has been that something special when I had no hope in the world it was there to teach me and pick me up from where ever my mind was wandering to that day. I owe it to myself to give it all I got. I know I can do it. I just wanted to share this little entry with you and let you know what was on my mind today. When there is something in our lives that bring us joy and can make us smile its important that we treat that something right. I hope that if any of you ever feel the way I feel sometimes you can go to that "Something" and embrace that this is what makes you happy and in reality nothing else so petty should matter. Today was one of those days that you look out the window and all you see is gloominess and rain, all you want to do is drink some hot chocolate and nap all day..Then when I least expected it I was surprised to receive a package from BariBeauty and inside was 4 sets of nail polishes from their new Vinyl Remix Line of Pure Ice. I was so happy cause well lets be honest I was slacking on my manicure today. Not even 10 minutes I have to play with the new polishes..Now ever since the whole crackle trend came out I was so into it but never got around to purchasing them being I heard good and bad stories on them but I must say this was really cool. Not only are you able to able to pick from so many colors you also can mix the colors here and there, you want green and purple? or how about orange and yellow? How about orange, yellow, green and purple? What ever color you want on your nails guess what you can make it happen with the new "Vinyl Remix from Pure Ice" The set comes with 2 polishes a white base coat and a black looking polish but dont be confused by the black..once you place them on your nail they start to transform into a new bright color. The crackle polish is not thick or uncomfortable to put on. It glides like any other brand new polish..no stickyness here. I just painted my nails with the purple and yellow polish and I also did my daughters nails which she loved.. Blog Post At 6am

Good Morning Dolls! Well as you can see I am fully awake, I can not fall back to sleep for the love of me. I made one sudden turn in bed and from then on I was wide awake, staring at the ceiling and thinking about things I really wasn't in the mood to think about..Has this ever happen to you?

What kinds of things were I thinking about you ask? Well some personal of course, me just thinking about the kind of life I want to live, how I want to make the BEST of this life God gave me to do right by. I was talking to a good friend of mines Eric Anthony Johnson who is the CEO of http://www.javaboiindustries.com/ and he is always great at giving advice and he made a comment during our conversation if the advice he gave me was too "unsugarcoated or harsh" and I said "Absolutely not, I like my coffee with sugar not my advice" and this is so true because I just want my friends and family to just tell me the truth on what ever thoughts they have of me or for me 100%. Eric is a great mentor and I appreciate his words always..Just wanted to let that me known.

Life may not always be what you plan it to be but isn't that a good thing? The moment of surprise? I feel like people and when I mean people I mean friends and family put so much pressure on us to live by what THEY think is the right way to live that we just constantly feel like a total disappointment. THIS IS NOT OK! I live my life the way I live it because it is my life. If God intended me to have a cheat sheet on life and all I had to do was just mimic what others were doing I mean does this make sense to you? I am just tired of people pin pointing my errors because I dont do things the way they would. I have put a lot of pressure on myself about this to a point where I am like "What am I doing wrong" The Answer: There is no answer you just have to roll with the punches...and expect the unexpected I guess. I know I am trying my hardest and when ever I am feeling down or just completely out of it I know who I can vent to and who not to vent to.

Look...I am not here to please everyone or anyone but I do like to put a smile on a person face is possible without the criticism, with out the judgement, with out these people having the need to base their opinion's by comparing my life to theirs..Im not mad I dont even think I care as much anymore all I know what I am doing and that my daughter loves me for it. I think we; especially us mothers out there get this feeling all the time and just dont know how to express it and I hope I was able to shine some light on the subject and let you know that you are not alone..I think actually I know that our biggest critics were some of the most beaten down victims of the same thing we are going through now..they just forgot the feeling it can make a person feel.

LMAO! I dont even know where all this came from..I guess it needed to be address..Hope you all have an amazing Tuesday morning. I will most likely crash this afternoon once my coffee wears off lol..but from no sleep to smiling now I guess it's all worth it.
